World's First Service Club Organization Rotary International is the world's first service club organization. Its
more than 1.2 million members volunteer their time and talent to further the
Rotary motto, Service Above Self. The world's first service club,
the Rotary Club of Chicago, was formed on 23 February 1905 by Paul P. Harris, an
attorney who wished to capture in a professional club the same friendly spirit
he had felt in the small towns of his youth. The Rotary name derived from the
early practice of rotating meetings among members' offices. Today, 1.2
million Rotarians belong to over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries
and geographical areas. For the Rotary International general website

Rotary Clubs of Palm Coast Palm Coast is home to two Rotary Clubs: the Rotary Club of Flagler
County and Flagler/Palm Coast Sunrise Club. Both organizations
work in a collaborative manner within the general Rotary Club guidelines and
overall goals. Rotary Club of Flagler County meets every Tuesday at 12:00 noon at the
Pine Course Clubhouse, located at 400 Pine Lakes Parkway N, in Palm Coast, FL
32164.
Our membership is a most compatible group of local business and community
leaders from the fields of business, law, education, real estate, and
government; including those who have retired from successful pursuits in these
fields. During the season, our attendance swells with the coming of our
Snow-Birds. All are welcome, of course, and are included in all our social and
civic activities. Our Program-Speakers typically address a variety of
interesting and important topics. Rotary Club of Flagler County is an exciting
home for those who want to align themselves with a forward-thinking,
progressive, fun, and action-oriented organization. For information as to
how to become a member, or to attend an event a guest interested in membership

The motto of Rotary Club of Flagler County is "Service Above Self." We
believe s/he profits most is who serves best.
We have a four-way test as follows --of the things we think, say, or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is
it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER
FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Paul Harris Fellows
We in the Rotary Noon Club are interested in seeing that every member is on pace
to become a Paul Harris Fellow. To receive the award one need only contribute
$1000. A Sustaining Fellow is one who continues to contribute. Higher awards are
available for higher levels of giving. Through this fellowship, which
funds the Rotary Foundation, much good work is accomplished. To date,
many Flagler County Rotarians have been recognized as Paul Harris Fellows,
including 25 Paul Harris fellows in 2009.
